Okay so the title of this post was pretty gimmicky, but it brought you here didn't it? So let's get on to the photos, and the money, and the instagram-ness. I'm going to assume that you've at least heard of stock photography, so i'll skip the prelude and jump straight into how you can make money.
Instaprints is basically a stock photography website that hooks straight up to your Instagram account. The site allows anyone to post, or purchase prints of that lovely cup of coffee you took a picture of. Or maybe someone wants that burrito you ate for lunch on a canvas. Who knows, but with enough publicity i'm sure you could sell anything.
How much can you make with Instaprints? That's the real question. Theoretically, you can mark up your photo prices as much as you want but the default earnings on each photo are posted below.
So what's the catch? Well, there isn't one. But unless you're insanely popular or have a photo that someone just has to have on print, you're probably not going to make a whole lot. With settings like "Auto-Import" and "Auto-Promote" you can setup an autonomous system in a few minutes that could one day make you some cash on the side. I think one of the coolest things about this service though (Besides the whole money making thing) is that you can easily buy unique pictures for your dorm or lounge area for a reasonable price that benefits the photographer directly.
Will you be selling your instagrams photos online? Do you think this service will take off? Share your thoughts in the comments!
